Bacon Wrapped Smokies

These have a lot going on in every bite. A double hit of smoky goodness is set off by caramel sweetness. The crisp bacon contrasts the juicy sausage perfectly. Try them dipped into honey mustard or a savoury BBQ sauce.


1 Pkg Smokies – Original Recipe

1 Pkg Bacon

1 cup (250 mL) Brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400ºF

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Cut each bacon slice into thirds

Cut each smokie into five or six pieces

Wrap each bacon piece around a smokie allowing for a slight overlap

Secure with a toothpick and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the bacon & smokies

Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bacon wrapped smokies

Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until the bacon is browned and the sugar is melted

Serve immediately
