Warm Pretzels with Bacon Dip

This is so rich and satisfying. Gooey and bubbling – it’s loaded with smoky bacon and tangy cheese. It’s not dainty, so make sure you serve it with something sturdy to dip, like pretzels or thicker cut toast. A game day classic.

1 375 g pkg Schneiders® Hickory Smoked Classic Cut Bacon, diced

1 8 oz pkg Herb and garlic cream cheese, softened

1 cup (250 mL) Sour cream

2 cups (500 mL) Old cheddar, grated

½ cup (125 mL) Green onion, chopped

½ cup (125 mL) Franks RedHot® sauce

2 tbsp (30 mL) Chives, chopped

1 small Red pepper, diced

1 mini Soft pretzels

Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).

Combine bacon, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, onions, chives, red pepper and hot sauce.

Bake in an oven proof dish for 25 minutes until dip is bubbling.

Wrap pretzels in a foil parcel and heat in oven for about 5 minutes.

Serve immediately.

Notes:
Try using your favourite crunchy snack to dip, such as pita crisps, crackers or crostinis.
