Big Daddy Bacon Grilled Cheese Burger


Big Daddy Bacon Grilled Cheese Burger

How big’s your burger appetite? Try subbing in grilled cheese sandwiches for regular buns. Then, you’ll need something really meaty to put inside – our Country Naturals® Angus Burgers. Take it from hamburger to slamburger!
2 Schneiders® Country Naturals® Angus Burgers

6 slices Bacon, cooked

8 slices White bread

4 slices Cheddar cheese

3 tbsp Softened butter


1 Tomato, sliced

½ Red onion, thinly sliced


¼ cup Mayonnaise

1 tsp Smokey BBQ sauce

½ tsp Horseradish

Salt and pepper

½ tsp (2 mL) Lemon juice

Preheat BBQ to medium-high heat. Cook burgers according to package directions.

Assemble 4 grilled cheese sandwiches by placing 1 slice of cheese on each of 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread and butter on both sides. Preheat a large skillet to medium heat. Grill sandwiches 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.

Whisk horseradish mayo ingredients together.

Assemble the “Big Daddy Burger” by spreading horseradish mayo on one outer side of 2 of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Top with lettuce, a grilled burger, bacon, tomato and red onion. Spread horseradish mayo on one outer side of remaining grilled cheese sandwiches and place on top of built burger.
