Bourbon & Mustard Glazed Ham

Bourbon & Mustard Glazed Ham

The luscious, oaky taste of bourbon enhances the depth and complexity of this recipe, and is a delicious complement to our succulent, carved off the bone ham. Combined with tangy mustard and a medley of warm spices, it’s a decadently flavourful alternative to a classic honey glaze.


1 Schneiders® Carved Off The Bone Ham

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup honey     

3 tablespoons bourbon

4 1/2 teaspoons cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon each of: onion powder, garlic powder, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, smoked paprika

Preheat oven to 325 F.

Combine all ingredients for the glaze in a small pot, bring to a boil and whisk until the sugar is dissolved. 

Brush glaze all over ham.

Bake for 40 minutes covered with foil with a little bit of water in the bottom of the pan.

Turn up the oven to 400 F. Remove the foil, re-baste, and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until the ham is golden brown.
