Inspired by the Halifax favourite, our version tops our expertly crafted Juicy Jumbos with a creamy, homemade sweet sauce. Wrapped in a pita with crunchy lettuce and tomato, this BBQ treat will take your taste buds on a delicious trip to the Maritimes.

5 Schneiders All Beef Juicy Jumbos

1 tomato, diced

1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded

⅔ cup sweetened condensed milk

¼ cup white vinegar

½ t garlic powder

1 small clove garlic, finely grated

5 small pitas, fresh

Preheat grill to 400 F

In a small bowl, add the condensed milk, vinegar, garlic, and garlic powder. Whisk together and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Grill wieners per package instructions.

Lightly grill the pitas until warm.

To assemble the donair, lay out the pitas. Spoon a generous amount of sauce onto the pita, then top with the grilled wieners. Divide the lettuce and tomatoes between the pitas.

Serve with extra sauce for dipping if desired.
