This recipe makes one individual charcuterie box, approximately 3” deep & 25” around.
Line a food safe container with parchment.
Set aside fig, blueberries, dried apricots and strawberry for final garnishes.
Fill a small ramekin, decorative dish or plastic food container with hummus. Drizzle olive oil on top and sprinkle with paprika. Nestle pimento-stuffed olives in the hummus.
Place hummus dish in the center of the lined container, as an anchor to build outward from.
Place the mini jar of honey next to the hummus.
Working in small sections, nestle 2-3 ingredients together in small groups, gently wedged between the ramekin and the edge of the container. This will prevent ingredients from falling to the bottom of the basket and getting lost. Try folding salami slices (once in half, or twice in quarters) and placing them tightly together for a ruffled effect.
Working in a circular motion around the basket, continue adding small clusters of various ingredients until the container is filled.
Carefully add fig halves, blueberries, dried apricot and strawberry in any remaining gaps between ingredients.
If giving as a gift, add the lid and tie with decorative ribbon. Refrigerate assembled charcuterie box before gifting.
Tips:
If gifting this charcuterie box, try tailoring the ingredients to your recipient. Preserves, dark chocolate, candied fruits and spicy cured meats would all make delicious additions.
